Get your Chicken Printing Blocks out, it’s time to print yourself a Spring Tea Towel in time for Easter!

During this Online Workshop you will learn how to hand print your own Starry Chicken Cotton Tea Towels. Tea Towel printing is a wonderfully creative way to use your printing blocks, we all love new Tea Towels and they also make great gifts especially when they are hand made! Printing Tea Towels is a very easy starting point and will give you the confidence you need to print other fabric items.

During this online workshop we will be talking you through basic printing techniques and tips ensuring your prints are coming out perfectly, working on a design and printing a Tea Towel.

We will be using a Mini Star and Stripy Chicken to print our design in Duck Egg and Mustard Fabric paint, you can also use alternative designs/ colours if you wish. Join the workshop live and print alongside your host’s and ask questions or if you are unable to join us live you will receive the video recording via email once the workshop has ended.

For this workshop we will be using our ‘Block Print Kit- Stripy Chicken & Star Tea Towels £25.00‘ which contains 2 Tea Towels, Fabric Paint, Sponges and Printing Blocks that will be used during the Workshop. Online Block Printing Workshop Friday 19th March: Simple Easter Tea Towels

Workshop Time: 3pm on Friday 19th March. Duration 1.5 hours

Join Tess & Holly for an online workshop, and learn how to hand print yourself a new spring Tea Towel in time for Easter in a Starry Chicken Design. During the Workshop you will be shown basic printing techniques, working out your pattern and top tips to help printing your Tea Towel!

This workshop is most suited for those who have had a go at Indian Block Printing before so we suggest if you haven’t printed before to watch our ‘How to Block Print’ videos and have a play around at home first.

You will be able to join the workshop live at 3pm on Friday 19th March, meaning you can ask questions throughout the workshop and get help with any areas you might be struggling with. If you cannot make the live session, a copy of the workshop will be sent to you afterwards to watch at home when coinvent.

Materials & Equipment

For this online workshop you can purchase the Printing Kit alongside your workshop ticket from the drop down menu, we will send you the materials you will need to take part in the Workshop. (If you do not wish to purchase the printing kit, please ensure you have the materials listed below) The Printing Kit includes:

White Cotton Tea Towels to print
2 x Fabric Paints in the colours, we are using Duck Egg & Mustard
Printing Blocks: Stripy Chicken & Mini Star
2 Sponges for paint application
